This is a love story that is also a tale of werewolves and fantasy. It begins with Grace being bitten by wolves, however she doesn't remember this as a bad thing, but something almost enjoyable like they were licking her and playing with her. One thing that really stood out to her was the yellow of one of the wolf's eyes. The story then switches to Sam, a werewolf (he's a human during summer), and his memories of Grace being bitten. When Sam is shot by hunters, Grace finds him and realizes he is the wolf with the yellow eyes she remembers from when she was bitten. They soon find themselves inseparable and falling in love. Sam begins to change from wolf to human at strange times and wants to find a cure. Grace and him work together to figure out why Grace has never turned and how this can help cure Sam.
If you like the Twilight series, you will love this book. It is part of a trilogy and hooks the reader with this first novel. The romance between Sam and Grace is magnetic and I love the added fantasy element of the werewolf world. The way the author describes the cold of winter makes you want to curl up with this book and drink a hot tea and pretend it's snowing outside!
